Karting Booking Advice and Requirements

The following terms & conditions apply to Karting sessions at Adventure Sports, Warwick:

Booking Times & Dates

All online bookings are considered provisional for 48 hours after the reservation has been placed. This is to allow for any potential time section conflicts to be addressed. If there is a time clash we will contact you within 48 hours to discus options. 

Payment

  • Payment in full is required at least ten days before the event date.
  • The payment is non-refundable apart from in the following circumstances:  
    • If any changes are made (for example a reduction in numbers) we can refund the payment but only if we are notified at least ten days before the date of the karting session.
    • The karting session is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. Adventure Sports will attempt to contact all attendees provided that we have the correct contact details.
  • Refunds will be made on the next working day.

Arrival Time and Late Arrivals

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your allocated start time.
  • If you don't arrive at the time and date of your booking you will not be refunded.
  • Anyone arriving after the briefing has started will not be able to participate and will not be refunded.

Participants

All drivers must sign in prior to taking part and in doing so will agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • Understand that Motor Sport is dangerous and they are present at their own risk.
  • All drivers agree to be bound by our safety rules as described in the Safety Briefing and posters displayed
  • Confirm they are physically and mentally fit. It is the responsibility of participants to inform the marshals if they have any illness, disability or injury.
  • Will follow the instructions given by marshals
  • Are over 14 years old (over 10 years for Junior Karting)
  • All drivers must be at least 130cm tall.
  • Are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any person considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to drive, and will not receive a refund.
  • Dangerous driving will result in the termination of the driver’s session without refund.
  • Track sessions that are advertised as ‘laps’ will still have time limits applied in situations where drivers are extremely slow around the circuit, or crash repeatedly necessitating the race to be stopped for karts to be recovered.
  • Please note we are unable to accept liability for any errors resulting from data which you have entered incorrectly.

Clothing Advice

  • Race suits MUST be worn by all drivers - they will be issued to all participants.
  • Gloves MUST be worn. You can bring your own or they can be purchased (£1) on the day (Group Sessions include gloves in the event cost). Gloves must be full finger (not fingerless) and have a good grip.
  • Crash Helmets MUST be worn - there are no exceptions.
  • Helmet liners MUST be used if you're using our helmets. Disposable hair nets will be available on the day for free or you can buy a cotton balaclava (£2) (Group Sessions include gloves in the event cost).
  • Loose clothing and long hair must be fully contained within the helmet or race suit.
  • Unfortunately headwear such as turbans, hijabs and similar cannot be worn for your safety.
  • You may get sprayed with water / mud whilst driving. Please bring suitable footwear and clothing you don’t mind getting wet or muddy.
  • Wet weather clothing is available incase of poor weather.
  • Wear a long sleeved top.
  • Trainers or walking boots are ideal. No sandals / flip flops / open toed shoes.
  • Crash Helmets will be provided. 
  • Participants may bring their own crash helmets IF they are:
    • Full-faced
    • Road legal
    • Marked with BS 6658:1985 (Type A, B or A/FR) OR, UNECE Regulation 22.05
    • Carry the BSI Kitemark
    • A close fit and correctly fastened.
    • Undamaged
    • Visor marked with BS or ECE
    • See the attached guidlines if you're not sure.

Age Limits and Parental Consent Forms

Group Karting Sessions AND Open Karting Sessions

If you're 14 years old AND at least 130cm tall you can drive our Karts (either a Group Session or and Open Session). If you're aged 14 or 15 years old on the date of the race session you do need written consent from your parents to say you can take part (it's an insurance requirement).

The easiest way to do this is for a parent to fill in this example Karting Parental Consent Form and bring it with you on the race day.

Junior Karting Sessions

If you're 10 years old AND at least 130cm tall you can drive our Junior Karts. If you're aged between 10 and 16 years old on the date of the race session you do need written consent from your parents to say you can take part (it's an insurance requirement).

Directions to Adventure Sports

From the M40 junction 15, take the A46 north (towards Coventry). Take the 1st exit (approx 2 miles) signed Solihull A4177 and Warwick A425. At the top of the slip road turn right at the roundabout towards Warwick.

Travel ¼ mile to a small roundabout and turn left onto Wedgnock Lane.

After ½ mile turn left into a small road opposite the Volvo building (look for flagpoles on the right) and follow the Adventure Sports signs for ½ mile.

When on site follow signs for 'Outdoor Activity Centre' and then 'Karting'. These will take you past the Clubhouse building and up to the Karting circuit car park.

Sat Nav Users

Just enter our postcode (CV35 7PX) into your Sat Nav and this should bring you to our site. When you are getting close, do keep your eyes open for signs for 'Adventure Sports Outdoor Activity Centre'. You will drive up through our activity centre, past the clubhouse and then right on the karting circuit - look out for 'Karting' signs.

Force Majeure and Limitation

  • Every effort is made to ensure mechanical reliability. In the unlikely event of a breakdown another track session may be offered at the Race Director’s discretion.
  • In the case of intentional damage to property, Adventure Sports (Warwickshire) Ltd will pursue those responsible for compensation.
  • Adventure Sports (Warwickshire) Ltd. is not liable for any losses or damage to clothing, footwear, personal effects or vehicles.
  • The activity may be terminated due to environmental or other conditions beyond the control of Adventure Sports (Warwickshire) Ltd.  if deemed to be unsafe by the Track Manager.
  • Karting is physically and mentally intense. There are inherent risks associated with motor sports and Adventure Sports (Warwickshire) Ltd cannot be held responsible for injuries or loss of life due to participating in motor sports except for incidents involving negligence on the part of Adventure Sports.
