Have a go at Archery
Discover the skill and satisfaction of hitting the target with our one-hour archery experience at Adventure Sports in Warwickshire.
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you'll learn the fundamentals of shooting with a traditional recurve bow, including how to stand, hold the bow, draw the string, aim and release your arrows accurately.
Using aluminium-shafted arrows and full-size competition targets, you'll begin with a series of practice rounds to develop your technique and build confidence.
Once everyone has mastered the basics, it's time for a little friendly competition!
You'll take part in a scored round, usually consisting of nine arrows per person, to discover who has the steadiest hand and the sharpest eye.
Most participants arrive having never picked up a bow before, but it's surprising how quickly accuracy improves. By the end of the session, even complete beginners can achieve some impressive scores.
Whether you're visiting with friends, family or colleagues, archery is a great way to enjoy some friendly rivalry while learning a new skill.
