Paintball Parental Consent

Aged 11 to 16 Years?

You Need Consent from Your Parents to Play Paintball

Parental Consent Letter Paintball

Our insurers are fairly strict when it comes to under 16 year olds playing Paintball. At Adventure Sports we allow those aged 11 to 16 to play but only if a parent / guardian has given written permission to say they can play.

This can be done in a number of ways:

1. Parent sends a letter of consent with the child to give permission for them to play. Download an example letter of consent.

2. Parent accompanies their child on the day and plays along side them.

3. Parent drops off the child and countersigns the 'sign in sheet' (every player fills in a sheet acknowledging the way Paintball operates.)

Parents Should Consider the Following

You are asked to give permission to allow your child to play Paintball because they are under 16 years old. Insurers see anyone aged 16 years or more as responsible for their own actions so 'juniors' - can't decide to play on their own.

The following points should be considered:

(a) The game is physically and mentally intense.

 (b) The game can be dangerous if not played in accordance with the stated rules which will be detailed by Adventure Sports Staff on the day.

 (c) The possibility of injury to my son / daughter and others does exist.

(d) The paint pellets travel at approximately 200 mph, they will leave a bruise.

(e) Clothing may be stained by the paint pellets.

You will need to confirm and agree. My son / daughter:

(f) Is aware of the risks involved in the game.

(g) Is physically fit and able to take the exertion of the game.

(h) Will comply with Adventure Sports Ltd. rules and use the equipment as instructed and not so as to injure others and will obey all directions of the Adventure Sports marshals.

(i) Will wear their goggles and never remove them when not in the Neutral Zone even if they mist over or get paint on them.

(j) Will use only pellets purchased from Adventure Sports and understand that they face expulsion from the site if they do otherwise.

(k) Is 11 years old or more.

If you are unsure about any of the above points please do contact the office (Tel. 01926 491 948) and we answer any questions.
