Wedgnock Facilities

Wedgnock Facilities

Our team delivers top quality, high value events at our 100 acre, purpose built activity centre in Warwick. Wedgnock has operated as a shooting range for over 120 years, thus making it an ideal venue as an outdoor activity centre.

Adventure Sports Ltd was established in 1987, and moved to Wedgnock in 1990. When we moved to this site there was just rough grassland, woodland and a couple of old ex-MOD tin huts. Since then we have done a tremendous amount of building work and landscaping on the site, built several reception buildings, (including the log cabin office and meeting room, and the large clubhouse) and turned it into a picturesque purpose built outdoor activity centre capable of running five different events simultaneously entertaining over 500 guests!

In the centre of the site we have a large comfortable clubhouse with wood burner that acts as the main reception for events, and is used as a meeting room for groups of up to 70 people, theatre style. Our kitchen produces everything from bacon sandwiches to gourmet style feasts! There is a toilet and shower block adjacent to the clubhouse.

In 1990 we built a wonderful large chalet style log cabin that houses our offices, a cosy meeting room for up to 20 people, kitchen and toilets.

Activity Areas

The Clay Shoot occupies the centre of the site and stands today as one of the Midlands largest and best attended clay shooting grounds. We have a tradition for providing the one of the best Sporting layouts in the Midlands, catering for all levels of shooters. We also offer English Skeet, Down the Line, Sportrap and Clay Snooker. Many of our layouts are covered allowing guests to shoot in comfort whatever the weather!  Three of our layouts are floodlit in the winter months.

At the North end of the site is 50 acres of woodland on the side of a hill. Several activities utilise this large area including Paintball, Quad Trekking and 4x4 Driving.

Our 300 metre ex-Zorbing hill at the top of our site has beautiful views of Warwick; it has it’s own large reception hut with viewing area at the bottom of the hill.
Our Paintball reception has a large covered safe area capable of seating up to 80 people, the office, tea and coffee serving area, and firing range. We have many different game fields, including Trenches, Village, Ridges and Speedball.

The wooded hillside is bisected by Quad trails and 4 x 4 tracks offering many different levels of difficulty, that can keep guests occupied for hours!

In 2010 we built a huge 10m climbing wall that boasts 3 separate climbing lines, and 3 Empire Crate Layouts. There are shelters on all the main activity waiting areas, enabling guests to stay dry whatever the weather! We use our own staff and our own equipment to ensure safety, reliability, efficiency and consistency. When you contact us you will be talking to event experts. We run the activities and so can offer genuine advice regarding the most suitable type of event for your guests.
